Social Adventures - Refugee Friendship Groups
Garden Needs is a service that helps people improve their gardens and outdoor spaces. They work with various groups, including individuals with mental health challenges, disabilities, and those facing social isolation. The service provides support to enhance well-being through gardening activities.
Once referred, participants can join sessions where they learn about gardening techniques, plant care, and garden design. The team also offers advice on maintaining gardens, creating spaces for relaxation, and growing food.
For example, participants might work on planting flowers, building raised beds for vegetables, or designing calming garden areas. These activities not only beautify spaces but also promote physical health and mental well-being. By engaging in gardening, individuals can connect with others, learn new skills, and experience the joy of watching their plants grow. Overall, Garden Needs aims to create a supportive community through the shared experience of gardening.
