Caritas - Salford

At Caritas we work alongside people from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire who are experiencing poverty, disadvantage, discrimination and homelessness, helping them to transform their lives with dignity.

We offer a range of services to support people from a refugee background, whether to settle them in the UK or to help them to become embedded in their local community. These range from english classes, wellbeing and mentoring programmes as well as supporting with homelessness.

Caritas - Salford - Red Door

Last updated 25/11/24

Red Door is our day centre for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Bury (see below for our address and contact details).

We provide a warm welcome to anyone over 18 and provide holistic support including helping with housing, finance/benefits and health issues, with a big focus on wellbeing. We also provide free nutritious meals and a warm hub where people can socialise and receive support.

The team, as well as delivering direct housing outcomes, also enables people to improve their wellbeing through services that meet immediate basic needs, promote mental health and wellbeing, enable people to access healthcare and other support services and to take up education, training, volunteering opportunities and employment – all as a means of sustaining positive housing outcomes.
