Womankind
Womankind is an established charity that is run by women for women. We help hundreds of women every year to improve their mental health and well-being so they can experience a better quality of life. We recognise that the roots of our difficulties are often linked to personal life histories. We also recognise that the social and political environment in which we live affects our mental health. It’s not always easy to ask for help but we would encourage you to not suffer in silence as talking to someone about your problems and how you feel can really help. We will work with you to understand your situation and can help you think things through so you get the support you need. We can help you to find your own voice, to express yourself and think about what’s happened.

Helpline / Webchat Service
Are you having a difficult time? Would it help to talk to another woman who can help you think things through? Why get in touch? Women contact us for many reasons. They may be feeling distressed, overwhelmed, upset or frightened and need someone to support them and understand how they are feeling. Who can get in touch? Any woman, girl or non-binary person aged 16+ who is in need of a ‘listening ear’ can call us or use the webchat. If your first language isn’t English, the webchat offers automatic translation so you can talk to us in your own language. Whatever you are feeling, or whatever has happened, we will believe you and will be there for you. Helpline number: 0345 458 2914 0117 916 6461 Helpline email: helpline@womankindbristol.org.uk
