Sheba Arts is a refugee and migrant-led arts organisation based in Greater Manchester. We make art accessible to everyone and support the artistic practice and expression of people from the global majority, refugee and migrant communities.

We are committed to working with everyone, regardless of their background. Our focus is on Greater Manchester and the North West of England.

Projects Include-

• Haideh & Nejad: This project aims to collate stories, songs, and cultural memories important to the Iranian community (including Kurdish, Persian, Turks, and other ethnicities) and to transfer them to the next generation of Iranian and Kurdish diaspora: children aged 8-13. Please visit the project's website: https://haidehandnejad.com/

• Sheba Salon and Socials: A space for like-minded creatives to connect with each other and share their work. This has since evolved into a dynamic programme of networking activities, including group visits to artists studios and venues, participating in seminars and events, all aimed at bringing artists together and learn from each other, network and find inspiration. We have held a number of cultural outings and networking events since our first salon to engage our artist communities with Manchester's cultural scene.

If you're an artist interested in joining their community, sign up to their newsletter for information about these events- https://www.shebaarts.com/opportunities-refugee-arts.html

• Wigan Outreach Program: A 3-year arts and well being and 6 weeks training courses in Wigan. Offering a variety of art forms and courses, creating a vibrant arts and education space where people want to come and spend time, as well as learn skills to boost their confidence and improve access to the job market. The creative workshops are open to everyone regardless of their age and backgrounds.
