Manchester City of Sanctuary
We are a non-religious organisation who want to create a more inclusive and welcoming city to those seeking sanctuary who bring skills, enterprise, music, food and hard work to enrich our city.
We deliver a volunteer programme that develops skills, supports our events and activities and creates opportunities for people to get involved and give back.
We connect with organisations to become better equipped and aware of the challenges facing refugees and Sanctuary Seekers, so they can support them more effectively and their services are better set up for those seeking sanctuary to access.
We raise awareness of the challenges and barriers that Sanctuary Seekers face and how local public bodies can address these, awarding those who demonstrate this well.
