Ebony & Ivory Community Organisation (EAICO)

EAICO gives young people the opportunity to get involved in activities based around African, Caribbean and British culture.

Services include:

• Drama: With the experience gained through regular drama activities the young people will plan, stage and perform annual productions.

• Singing: Community choir made up of young people from different cultural backgrounds.  This builds team spirit and confidence, leading to new and exciting friendships.

• Bespoke Workshops: Deliver tailor made workshops as extra curricular activities for special occasions.  These are fully resourced by the organisation and can be devised to explore various themes on request.

Cultural Workshops: Explore a sense of self esteem, personal empowerment and increased stability in the social and home environment. Sessions are aimed at families and recommended for boys age 10-18.  The topics are wide ranging including:
• Black & British
• Identity and Experiences
• The Physical Self; presentation & self-perception
• Black History; role models & celebration
• Training
• Career Support

• Cultural Awareness training & workshops

Ebony and Ivory Community Organisation want to encourage families to learn and share together. There are opportunities and activities open to all family members including, Family Sessions, Mixed Heritage Forum, Volunteer Opportunities, Women’s Forum, Cultural Workshops and Careers Advice.
