"If you believe you may become threatened with homelessness or about to become homeless, we can offer advice via telephone or email., and may have a duty to provide you with accommodation in certain cases. Please be mindful that due to the high volume of calls to our service, it may take longer to get through to an adviser than normal. If you’re having problems with any of the following, please get in touch with us: Your landlord has asked you to leave You’re not getting on with the people you live with You can’t afford your mortgage, rent, bills or have other problems managing your tenancy or accommodation Your accommodation is not suitable because it’s too small or in a poor condition Your accommodation is not suitable because of a medical condition or disability You’re experiencing, or are at risk of violence, abuse or harassment We can help you stay in your accommodation by offering: A mediation service Help with your money Talking to your landlord on your behalf Advising you of your rights and responsibilities Support with your tenancy Find alternative accommodation If you come across a rough sleeper you can let us know in confidence by email on housingoutreachteam@bolton.gov.uk or by telephoning the Housing Options Services on 01204 335900. You can also report a rough sleeper at www.streetlink.org.uk. The details you provide will then passed on to our Housing Options service. At times of cold or severe weather conditions we will try to secure additional emergency provision for those who may be sleeping rough. Anybody needing assistance should come directly to the Housing Options service at the Town Hall to discuss what assistance may be available"
