"During the day the Centre offers a wide variety of courses and activities that help people build their skills and confidence, engage more fully in their community, and increase their chances of paid work. Courses generally run for one term, three times a year, but we also run shorter courses. We have a range of wellbeing activities during the day and evening, including family activities, choirs, and many different exercise classes. These are gradually reopening as COVID restrictions are lifted. Our current timetable of activities is shown below. "We generally have several ESOL courses and conversation groups running at St John’s at various levels, in association with the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA). Classes inc. First Steps ESOL for pre-entry learners, and Get Ready for Entry 1 Speaking and Listening. Also run open access, volunteer-led groups, which are free and open to anyone inc.: ESOL Speaking and Listening (B2/Level 1); Discover Manchester (all levels); Family ESOL – all levels (pre-school children welcome, please book a place)
