BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme
BBC Children in Need Emergency Essentials Programme supports children and young people who are facing exceptionally difficult circumstances, and is delivered by Family Fund Business Services. The programme provides items that meet a child’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to provide a hot meal and other items or services critical to a child’s wellbeing.
We can deliver or fund critical items such as:
- Cookers
- Furniture
- Kitchen equipment and small appliances
- Children’s beds and bedding (including cots)
- Washing machines and tumble dryers
- Fridges, freezers and fridge-freezers
- Baby equipment
- Clothing for an emergency/crisis

Our Emergency Essentials programme supports individual children and young people living with severe poverty. The programme provides items that meet children’s most basic needs such as a bed to sleep in, a cooker to give them a hot meal, clothing (in a crisis) and other items and services that are critical to children’s wellbeing. The programme is now being delivered by Family Fund Business services on our behalf.
How to access
It is a referrer only programme and applications can only be made by registered referrers. Phoneline for referring agencies open between 9.30am and 3.00pm on Monday to Friday (01904 550011) Organisations can register via the website: https://www.familyfundservices.co.uk/emergency-essentials/
