Asylum Seeker Mental Health Consultation Service

The Asylum Seeker Mental Health Consultation service helps service users understand their unique circumstances, and assists them with the asylum seeker processes. Diagnose and help the service user understand their condition and signpost to the appropriate services for treatment and support, and advise on medication and treatment options, and help them to understand negative thinking and support them to look after themselves with practical and professional support. The service also assists with planning for the future, offering emotional and practical support often in difficult circumstances. Also provide information on NHS services and assist patients to access health care, helps to solve problems offering practical support with form completion, housing application, and bus pass application, registration with GP, dentist or schools. They assist young adults to apply for college, offering support and encouragement with integration and activities.
