Mind - Rochdale
"Rochdale and District Mind offer a wide variety of wellbeing services and support groups to help local residents. The first step in accessing any of the help available at Rochdale and District Mind is to complete a referral form and to meet a Wellbeing Coordinator to discuss your issues. You and your Wellbeing Coordinator will then build up an individual action plan to tackle your issues. They offer a range of services including their Wellbeing Programme which is a semi-structured pathway, supporting service users to improve their mental wellbeing by engaging with a range of activities based on the “Five Ways to Wellbeing”. A confidential counselling service provides one to one counselling sessions to help relieve stress, anxiety and depression, increase self-esteem and improve relationships. It is available to anyone 18 years or older, living in, or whose GP is in Rochdale, Heywood or Middleton and is not accessing counselling/therapy elsewhere but they are unable to offer counselling to people affected with PTSD. Their Wellbeing Co-ordinator for New and Emerging Communities supports a range of different communities and population groups, including: Asylum Seekers and Refugees who are provided with advice and guidance to access a range of legal, housing, health and wellbeing services."
